1) The primary message that President Obama is sent in this speech is merely a breakdown of domestic and world hardships we are facing today with a promise to provide the leadership it takes to resolve these hardships. This message was being sent not only to the American people, but also to other nations. President Obama's focus seemed to have been more on past generation's achievements in relations to where we are today, and how he truly believes that we as a nation will be work together to return to a prosperity.
2) Clearly this was a exceptionally put together speech. Barack's eye contact made way to the crowd as if he was speaking to everyone individually, his tone of voice set the mood on what he wanted to emphasize, and his words came out very slow and fluently. I was particularly impressed with his choice of vocabulary which shows his level of intelligence and exceptional speaking ability.
3) I rate Obama's speech at a 10. As mentioned above, President Obama is a great speech giver. His professional choice of words and excellent body posture made him look like a textbook American president. In my opinion, the delivery of the speech was pursuasive to even the most right wing individual who did not previously care for Obama.
4) The only source of interference I was able to see was the applauding interuptions of the crowd. President Obama handled this very well with pausing and resuming his speech without fumbling once the applauds ended.
5) Seeing that the criteria for this speech was practically picture perfect, I do not see any way I would improve this speech.
